• 1) Implemented a data pipeline to move a subset of data from DB2 to Elasticsearch clusters for faster retrieval with various filters. Was a core member of the initial system design team and was responsible for end-to-end development right from setup to maintenance.
• 2) Primarily used a Java SpringBoot application and RabbitMQ queues to create the pipeline with error handling and retry logic to prevent data loss.
• 3) Used JDBC db connectors and ORM batch processing to increase the data ingestion throughput in the pipeline by 9x.
• 4) Worked on writing effective unit tests for the data pipeline modules to cover possible edge cases. Developed responsive forms based on inputs from users using Angular 4. Worked on making interactive components to get input of multi-valued fields in a user-friendly manner.
• 5) Mentored an intern on developing the SpringBoot backend for the UI, and
• complete the process from writing the rest endpoints, writing tests up till the
• deployment to servers.
