• Implementation of Network Alarm System.
• The objective was to create a module for Alarm system process responsible for communication between the ONT chip BL2348 of Broadlight and the alarm server at remote location. It is used for monitoring critical environmental conditions, such as humidity, liquid water presence, power intrusion and smoke. When a certain alarm goes ON, it sends a signal to the OLT sub-system, which in turn sends the ONT-FM logs to the alarm server to take appropriate steps and action. The response action in turn is sent back via OLT to ONT. Meanwhile, during all these interactions, ONT activates other local services such as video recording at the site of incident, which is also uploaded to the server.
• Technologies used were Linux OS, gcc compiler, ONT and other necessary components to work upon.
