• Re-architected and built a more reliable and scalable SQL code engine that forms the core of SQL code evaluations at HackerEarth via Web and API interfaces. Multiple architecture designs were laid out followed by the benchmarking of their POCs and coding the one that best fits the use-case.
• Architected and developed a micro-service that helps FaceCode interviews to be more like real work projects by enabling interviewees to directly execute databases queries from non-database language environments, using popular database adaptors.
• Developed a real-time preview feature in Project Upload question type. It builds and deploys the uploaded projects to dedicated docker containers and makes their live web-app links available to candidates and recruiters for testing/evaluation, in real-time, with the help of dynamic DNS routing.
• Led Redis DB Freeable memory optimization. Involved POC with various Redis Memory Analysis tools, data clean up and addition of data expiries.
• Currently, leading the re-structuring of infrastructure at AWS as well as configuring the hybrid cloud model (AWS + Azure). Involves reviewing architectures of existing services and inter-service dependencies, configuring inter-cloud VPN tunnels, setting up kubernetes clusters and function apps at Azure, inter-cloud routing of requests via ALB, TGs and Ingress controllers, inter-cloud Pub/Sub routing and inter-cloud metrics based auto-scaling of resources.

• Designed and developed the end to end integration between HackerEarth and various Application Tracking Systems namely Jobvite, Workable, SAP SuccessFactors, JazzHR, as well as mentored the integration with Zoho Recruit and Recruiterbox.
• Designed and developed a Webhooks framework and plugged it into various products. All functional and non-functional requirements like Authentication using HMAC signatures, data integrity, prevention of replay attacks, periodic retries, rolling of secret keys, and overall scalability and reliability of the system were taken care of in the single release.
• Developed the Dynamic Practice Test feature in the product which provides candidates with a practice test corresponding to each assessment which automatically keeps updating itself (in real-time) in terms of problem-types, skills, difficulty levels, and max. scores whenever any related update is made by the admin in the original assessment.
• Developed new RESTful public APIs for various products, namely Assessments, Interviews, and Billing. Optimized the response times of existing Assessment APIs and built Reconciliation APIs for HackerEarth Webhooks. Published integration documentation for the same.
• Migrated HackerEarth's Email infrastructure from Sendgrid to Amazon SES. This was carried out in a rolling fashion which involved designing and setting up end to end integration architecture with monitoring and alerts, implementing SES integration and running parallel compatible email flows for Sendgrid and SES, and gradually shifting all email volume to SES. Today, we are sending more than 500K emails per day via SES integration.
• Architected and developed an Elasticsearch based Audit Log service and its respective client.
• Added a wrapper over Kafka client with fallback support (via RabbitMQ) for reliable message passing.

• It was a 6 months remote internship.
• Worked in a team on 'Assessment Reports Revamp' project. Built RESTful backend APIs and services for candidate assessment reports using DRF and wrote unit and integration tests for all the flows.
• Designed and implemented a score scaling algorithm which plays a critical role in scaling and normalizing the scores of problems and test-cases whenever they are added from HackerEarth library to an assessment by an admin.
• Developed utility tools for internal team use. The major one was a dashboard for triggering the update of assessment participation reports and visualizing the realtime progress of the same.
• Developed a cron job system for daily user categorization based on his various kinds of activities on the Community front of the platform. This was built to help organize user targetted product and promotion emails.

• Created test-cases for Frontend problems used for evaluating UX of applications using Javascript DOM.
• Developed Python-based Recursive Wildcard projects searcher, parser and categorizer using RegEx and Multiprocessing.
• [ A python project (set of scripts modules) that performs pattern-based searches by going deep into the directory structure recursively and reads the content of the files and then segregates them on the basis of their code language (for source code files) and question topics (for .txt test case files) by moving them to corresponding directory groups. ]
