About

As a Software Engineer at Google, I work on the Network Virtualization Infrastructure team within Google Cloud, where I design and develop scalable and reliable solutions for cloud networking and connectivity. I use my expertise in cloud computing, distributed systems, C++, Java, Typescript, Python, and Golang to deliver high-quality products and services that meet the needs and expectations of our customers and partners. I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in December 2022, where I received an eight-semester full-ride scholarship for outstanding academic merit. During my studies, I completed three software engineering internships at Amazon and Google, where I gained valuable experience in building cross-cloud migration tools and contributing to the AWS CDK. I also won the first place in design at the HackUTD Game Jam in 2020, where I created a 2D platformer game using the Unity Game Engine. I am a highly motivated and lifelong learner, who is continuously learning new technical skills that interest me in my free time. I apply this self-learning methodology to my workflow, allowing me to find efficient solutions to intractable problems within both my personal projects and industry work. Outside of work, I am also passionate about helping fellow students with interview prep, practicing soccer, playing chess, reading fantasy novels, and learning Japanese.

  • o Google Cloud - Network Virtualization Infrastructure / SDN / VPC Routing
  • o Developed and launched IPv6 feature for GCP Policy Based Routes (PBR). Gathered and executed requirements from cross-organization teams for launch such as security horizontals, adding Terraform support, writing documentation, and completed CLH feature development using Golang. Efforts resulted in IPv6 feature launching one quarter faster than anticipated and with zero customer bugs 6+ months post-launch.
  • o Identified a route creation inefficiency in the network infrastructure, performed rigorous benchmark testing in C++ and data analysis with Python for a optimization solution that reduced overall CPU execution and peak memory usage of all GCP VPC network static route creation by ~25.7% and ~10.8%.

  • o AWS EMR on EKS Orchestration team (Big Data Analytics Platform) - Summer 2021
  • o Designed and implemented end to end Java API service integrations onto AWS SFN resulting in over 170k Docker image pulls and ~2,500 S3 downloads per month reducing customer ramp up time by 80%.
  • o Developed support for Kubernetes virtual cluster creation and deletion APIs to handle 150k API requests per month on an integration testing framework that allows users to test scalable AWS orchestration workflows locally.
  • o Architected microservice for a major open source feature addition to the AWS CDK that reduced customer ramp up time by 80% in TypeScript, Python, and NodeJs; collaborated with key stakeholders across multiple teams in AWS.
  • o Led major effort to flatten the user facing API parameters for a Kubernetes microservice, providing multiple different inputs and defaults for all EMR on EKS SFN service integrations.
  • o Simplified AWS service setup process by automating the creation of an IAM Job Execution Role in TypeScript and implemented a Python AWS Lambda function that reduced customer ramp up time by 80%.
  • o Wrote 98% coverage unit and integration tests in Jest.
