About

I enjoy teaching, implementing, tweaking and evaluating network protocols for Internet Traffic Engineering, especially the tasks related to TCP optimisations, Linux queue disciplines, ECN and 802.11 Rate Adaptation Algorithms. Our work has been funded/sponsored by Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd., ABB Global Industries and Services Pvt. Ltd, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Tata Communications Ltd., Epsilon India, Robosoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd., NVIDIA, Postman, Inc. and Futurewei Technologies, Inc. These projects involve working on state-of-the-art technologies: Network Function Virtualization, Named Data Networking, Distributed Ledger Technology and Deterministic Networking. As open source enthusiasts: my team contributed a new packet scheduler called 'FQ-PIE' to Linux kernel v5.6. I have been serving as a co-maintainer for TCP and traffic control (tc) modules in ns-3, and as a mentor and org admin for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) for ns-3. I also served as an org admin for Google Code-In (GCI) in 2019 and 2020, and Chairperson of IEEE Mangalore Subsection in 2023. Presently, I am the Member of the Steering Committee of ns-3 and Member of the Board of India Internet Engineering Society.
