• With 8 other students from the School of Natural Resources and Environment, we formed the University of Michigan Student Delegation to attend the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 20th Session of the Conference of Parties (UNFCCC COP20).
• I attended the second week of the COP 20 where I observed how climate negotiations happen on a global level, learned how different voices are presented at the conference, and interviewed the Chinese Delegation.

• “It’s Hot in Here” is an interactive, live radio show that covers a broad range news and views around environmental topics. I joined the It's Hot in Here family in September 2014 and participate as a co-host that interviews guests and engages in conversation with other hosts in the studio. Additionally, I design shows and reach out to prospective guests that include professors, students, alumni, and guests from the local community.

• Compile relevant resources to suit city needs around climate change adaptation.

• During this program, I audited classes at U.S. universities, including Yale, Harvard, MIT and Columbia. The highlight was attending a business model contest. Our team proposed an entrepreneurial idea of online weddings and won 2nd place by successfully demonstrating the environmental burdens due to resource-consuming ceremonies. We also established that wishes from friends and families be better documented and preserved by an online wedding platform.

• In my first position in the U.S., I greeted costumers, helped those in need, served food, and answered questions about the park at Old Faithful Cafeteria in Yellowstone National Park. What was really valuable about this experience was that I got to learn more about American culture and customs, practice my English, and make friends and connections.

• Our six member team went to Little River Elementary School in a poor rural village in western China to teach students various subjects including math, English, and music. Besides teaching in class, we led field trips to inspire thinking and reflections on sustaining our environment. We organized community activities such as an evening gala to showcase students’ learning. We surveyed villagers regarding their lifestyle, education level, political views, etc., and wrote a 118-page report based on the survey and teaching experience.
