• I served as the technical lead for the Amazon Fresh IN team, which consists of ~13 developers.
• In this role, my responsibilities encompassed leading large-scale projects, clarifying complex issues by determining high-level designs, decomposing them into independent components, and estimating the necessary efforts. I actively contributed to writing critical path code and guided junior team members in addressing lower-level challenges.
• Throughout my career, I have designed, implemented, and maintained various backend components and applications for Amazon, covering all phases of the software lifecycle. My experience includes building systems from the ground up, scaling existing infrastructures, driving high-quality development, and mentoring other engineers.
• I led a project to enhance customer convenience by allowing them to add items to their orders prior to pickup from the fulfillment center. This project involved solving independent sub-problems such as integrating new items into orders, ensuring their propagation across fulfillment and transportation systems, calculating additional charges for order modifications, and implementing multi-factor authentication during order edits. Additionally, I ensured that payment restrictions during order edits were compliant with RBI regulations.
• I also took ownership of the design and implementation of the Cart as a Platform initiative for Amazon Worldwide. This project aimed to support the growth of Amazon's businesses by enabling various programs to host multiple carts and checkout flows on a common, scalable platform.
• Prior to my tenure with Fresh, I worked as a Software Development Engineer for the PrimeNow team, which was later rebranded as Amazon Fresh. In this capacity, I enhanced the customer experience by ensuring rush delivery promises as a prime benefit, thereby driving prime subscriptions. I also led the rebranding of the Amazon Now Android and iOS apps to Prime Now.
