• Conducted market studies to understand the service model of ITC’s Bingo! products and brought out the potential ways to reduce the cost of service so that the company could maintain the industry growth in this business category of the FMCG market.
• Visited around 500 retail stores across 6 WD points spread across 3 districts and conducted personal interviews with the retailers to find out major issues with the service of ITC products.
• Calculated the space utilization of different categories of ITC’s products in WD warehouse and found the relative contribution of each category to the revenues per unit area utilized to ascertain the major contributors to revenue.
• Did a field study with competitor’s DS (Frito Lays) to find out how they serviced, that is frequency of service, type of vehicle used, space utilization at warehouses and command area.
• Suggested few alternative service model to achieve increased servicing with reduced cost based on drivers such as increased frequency of service, reduced replenishment time and reduced overhead costs.
