The track I was in, Ruby on Rails, helped me to focus on applications such as e-commerce sites, project management tools, and also on creating API for use with either a front-end application or as a tool for other users to access.

• As office administrator, I managed three different executives schedules and emails while also managing an office of staff members. I consistently worked outside of my job requirements to learn more about web development, working with our in-house web developer. I also led the initiative to improve our entire IT systems, leading a project to migrate our in-house web server to an office exchange hosted server with the help of an IT company within the Portland Area. I had led many projects, public events, and initiatives to improve the company.

• I worked with and directly supported the nurse managers for four of the inpatient units at OHSU. Much of my work involved working directly with the employees on the units but I also branched out to work with executive leadership in projects to better assist the hospital with patient care in mind. I had also been a lead IT support in the units that I had managed and had used my technical skills to create reports for the leadership team that ultimately led in budget saving decisions.

• Promoted from office assistant, I worked as the main contact for all new student inquiries in CEPE at PSU. I managed our student work team from Portland State as well, prioritizing urgent matters that were ever changing as the department continued to grow. I also handled all IT needs in our department on both MAC and PC operating systems, as well as managing our server for our offsite office location. Additionally, I was responsible for securing and implementing Office 365 as an enterprise system which was integral to the functions of our office. Lastly, I created assets, updated schedules, and managed all of our website. With the help of instructors, I also was responsible for creating the online programs we had offered using Canvas as an LMS which included going to meetings for changes that were upcoming with the LMS as well as needs our department requested to create the best learning environment for our department.
