• Worked in Prof. Yoshiho Ikeuchi’s lab on a project aimed at finding the role of Mitochondria in Schizophrenia for precision therapeutics.
• Cultured Mouse Neurons and iPSCs of schizophrenic patients and controls, differentiated them to cerebral organoids. Stained them Immunohistochemistry for further analysis.
• Treated mouse neurons with varying concentrations of drugs to test how FDA approved drugs affect mitochondrial intensity.
• Observed stained cells and organoids using a confocal microscope and analysed data using ImageJ revealing a 30% decrease in mitochondrial intensity of schizophrenic patients, restored through neurotransmitter treatment.
• Collaborated with an international cohort and presented the final research poster at the final Asia Symposium held in NUS, Singapore.

• Worked to develop a home-based culture method for the detection of causative pathogens of the Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).

• Led the research team in developing a Point of Care detection kit for the diagnosis of the Human Papillomavirus causing cervical cancer. We integrated the CRISPR/Cas12 system with a lateral flow assay based dipstick and achieved experimental success.
• Managed a 30+ member team for iGEM 2022 and 2023, winning Gold Medals and an additional nomination for 'Best Diagnostics Project' (2023) upon presenting projects at the iGEM Grand Jamboree in Paris.
• Engineered CRISPR/Cas12a protocols integrated with Lateral Flow Assays to detect the highly conserved E7 gene of HPV16 to achieve proof of concept. Additonally, worked on an ML model to predict gRNA binding to aid experimental design.
• Presented the project in national conferences and interacted with industry experts to understand project feasibility.
• Authored a research paper depicting research findings, currently submitted to ACS Synthetic Biology for review.
