• I worked on VCP (Virtuoso Custom placer) which places Standard cells without rows and with rows.

• Successful migration of Virtuoso Custom Placer from Livingston UK to Noida R & D center.
• Understanding existing code flow, written in last 10 years span. Learnt various algorithms like conjugate gradient method, min cut, simulated annealing, spanning tree protocol, Linear Regression etc.
• Analysis of around 100 back log bugs from different customers all around the world. Categorized them into real bugs and feature enhancements. Prioritized feature enhancements in order to set the road map of the placer for next 2-3 years.
• Solved many critical problems of the customers, many of them were potential customers of cadence’s tools.
• Designed and implemented double height standard cells placement enhancement in Virtuoso custom placer. This technology is being adopted by many IC designers in the market.

• High level design for both segmentation and reassembly of RLC blocks.
• Implemented the segmentation of LLC PDUs into RLC blocks for coding schemes MC1-MCS4 (first phase) at RLC layer.
• Implemented the reassembly of RLC blocks into LLC PDUs.
• Modified signaling to handle PACKET RESOURCE REQUEST from Mobile, It improved the throughput.

• IRO is combined BSC and BTS which carries voice over IP network using RTP between two IROs or between IRO and Media Gateway (if other side is not the same codec). All the call control signaling is performed with Soft switch using MGCP, SCTP. It is under lab trial as well as field trial with many customers.
• Designed and implemented the voice path using RTP.

• Developed device drivers and protocol stack for PON product.
• Developed drivers for Serial Communication channels (SCC) of powerPC and MC68302.
• Developed driver for HDLC controller Munich 32, which handled up to 32 data channels of PCM.
