Some of the highlights of my work at Microsoft: ● Developed and Improved new scheduling algorithms to schedule tasks and resource management in Microsoft Project for Web(Project Management Tool). The new scheduling behaviors make it easy for new users to use the product. ● Designed and implemented features like Regression Protection, Stress Testing, Data Recovery end-to-end. These features helped in detecting regressions before version update, stress test the product with all possible operations, and recover project data in case of corruption. These features reduced regressions by 85%(23% to 3%) and data corruption sessions by 95%(10.5 to 0.5%). ● Created new functionalities in the REST API layer on top of a native executable scheduling engine to make it usable from the web platform. ● Contributed to Undo-Redo feature, worked on reducing and crash incidents by 100%. ● Mentored two Interns and two new engineers to create sprint goals and supported them along the way. ● Participated in Hackathons and worked on ideas like o Photo Stitching: stitch multiple photos to recreate a scene in VR. o Kanban Board to To-Do list: convert an image of a kanban board to a to-do list using image detection and segmentation. o Chat disentanglement: disentangle different chat topics happening in a group chat using NLP models.
