• Designed and built framework for a Coding Interview Club (CIC) that has since been used at multiple GIR universities. UTEP Coding Interview Club chapter currently has over 100 members (average attendance of CIC meetings is 40-50 students)

• Core lead for Flex Scaling, a critical piece of infrastructure for all of Google resource services globally.
• Scaling is used by the most prominent types of DBs (Bigtable and Spanner) as well as distributed queues, time series DBs, etc. Most of these resource services are utilized by almost every Google product: Search, Gmail, YouTube, Ads, etc. Each of these customer facing products has over a billion active users.
• Led design and implementation of a feature within Flex Scaling to reduce resource commitments for all of Google pub/sub globally. This feature produced an approximate 70% drop in disk, 25% drop in CPU, and 40% drop in RAM usage.
• Refactored and optimized development GCE stack that reduced resource utilization by ~15%.
• Designed and implemented metadata focused performance testing framework for GCE that simplified and sped up identification of performance regressions within a complex staging environment (tens of teams constantly updating binaries / kernels).

• Designed, prototyped, and implemented BTOTS Web (Baby & Toddler Online Tracking System); a Utah Department of Health ASP.NET website.
• Performed multiple in-field usability studies; monitoring user workflows in order to design a UX that allowed healthcare providers to seamlessly capture data without disrupting patient interaction.
• This project replaced an installed desktop application that improved user experience allowing healthcare providers to capture data while in the field and show detailed reports to patients' parents. Additionally, this eliminated a duplication of work (e.g. writing notes in the field, and bringing them back to the office to reenter info).
• Primary UI designer for the project (performed style reviews for every page before sending to QA)

• In addition I also did troubleshooting at several client's homes to diagnose problems with control systems and a wide variety of audio/visual equipment.
