• Worked as full stack developer with planning team to build internal portal that is extensively used by business teams to forecast numbers in terms of units and GMV for the products to be sold in coming months and plan sales accordingly. Tool could handle huge amount of historical data and triggers ML algorithms to generate numbers. - Java, Scala, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, MySQL, Hibernate and Azkaban.
• Demand Forecast and Override Product:
• 1. Setting up data pipeline to ingest weekly forecast numbers in hadoop clusters over hdfs.
• 2. Setting up pipeline to ingest daily forecast override in Hive and HBase.
• 3. Designing and implementing HBase node to consume daily override updates and versioning across overrides to show latest as well as history of updates to the business team.
• Demand Planning Product:
• 1. Building platform tool to consume forecast numbers, query and show aggregated results to business team. It includes setting up pipeline to ingest data in Hive and Elasticsearch.
• 2. Setting up Elasticsearch node and designing its document structure for query optimization on huge data set across multiple granularities.
• 3. Designing / implementing generic query layer to fetch data across any granularity from Elasticsearch as per business requirement.
