Implemented Object Detection Algorithms using YOLOv5 and OpenCV with Underwater Image Enhancement
facility. Using YOLOv5 has increased accuracy levels by almost 15% (over feature matching).
Setup underwater vehicle simulation environment in Gazebo, thus enabling the software department to work on
vehicle controls even before a physical vehicle is built, and reducing the vehicle development time by 40%.
Worked in-tandem with 4 other teams (a total of 24 students) to automate the bot, ensuring it is able to maneuver
and perform assigned tasks autonomously. Successfully created and competed with 2 AUVs(autonomous) and 1
ROV(remote-operated) so far.
Bots awarded and appreciated by AMUROV and Indian Navy for having solid industrial utility.
