I grew up in a business family where dinner table conversations revolved around market shifts, investments, and big decisions. I often wondered: will I ever be able to make decisions that truly drive impact? This question stayed with me until my time at Zomato where a stakeholder once told me, “Shreya, that recommendation really worked.” That was the turning point. I realised the power of data. That realisation made me look back. During my Computer Engineering degree, I was always drawn to data-heavy subjects. At AIESEC, while leading 30+ members across multiple teams, I: 🔸Built dashboards to track performance and mapped out sales funnels 🔸Created ROI-driven proposals that helped raise $750K through 30+ B2B partnerships I didn’t know it then, but I was already doing analytics. So at Zomato, I dove deep. Managing a portfolio of 120+ restaurant accounts, I: 🔸Analysed billions of rows of customer and sales data using SQL 🔸Visualised insights in Tableau and explained KPIs (CTR, CAC, LTV, AOV) to non-technical teams through storytelling 🔸Drove 30% portfolio growth through smarter campaign decisions and operational efficiency That’s when I knew, this is what I want to do. Over the past two years, I’ve developed my technical toolkit with Python for forecasting models, SQL for data extraction, and Tableau/Power BI for storytelling with data.
