• a) The aim is to develop coded camera architecture, associated algorithm and develop a software to achieve extended depth of field.
• b) Estimate depth from a single image captured by a camera with a coded aperture.
• c) Modeled the problem in a lasso and L0 regularized framework and used approximation algorithms to solve the NP-hard problem.
• d) Used calibrated blur kernels to estimate depth map which is then used to obtain all-region focussed image using non-uniform deconvolution algorithms.

• Reviewed drinking water problems in India, existing designs of water purifiers, analysed water samples and conceptualised a purification process for community based drinking water station.
• Developed a small working prototype for Capacitive Deionization which works on the concept of electrolysis and periodic reversal of current flow.
• Presented the plan of the conceptualised model at the UL headquarters at Chicago, USA and Industry Open House 2014 at IIT Gandhinagar.
