I spent a decade at Zomato helping build and scale the online food delivery and restaurant discovery ecosystem across India and Europe. During that period, I worked across market creation, enterprise partnerships, and large-scale operational expansion. Key mandates included: • Launching international markets including Portugal, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia • Scaling food ordering across major Indian metros and several tier-2 cities • Building enterprise partnerships with brands such as Burger King, McDonald’s, Natural Ice Cream, Kwality Walls and Rebel Foods • Structuring joint business plans with financial institutions, FMCG companies, and platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime • Leading teams across sales, business development, and strategic partnerships A decade inside the industry revealed a fundamental gap: Restaurants are drowning in tools, but starved of systems. That insight led to the creation of restaverse. The idea began in early 2022. By December that year, I stepped away from my operating role to build the company full-time. Restaverse formally launched operations in 2023. Today, we are building a technology-driven operating system for restaurant chains. Our focus is simple: help multi-outlet restaurant brands eliminate operational leakages, improve unit economics, and scale without getting trapped in endless discounting cycles. Instead of adding another dashboard, restaverse works alongside operators to identify what is broken, introduce simple performance scorecards, and implement systems that create consistency across outlets. In short: less noise, more operating discipline. I enjoy building partnerships, selling complex ideas, and turning messy operational realities into repeatable systems. This has ranged from selling ads in Portugal without speaking Portuguese, to scaling delivery markets across India’s tier-2 cities, to now building restaurant technology from the ground up.
