  • I was one of the two people who started the sustainability team at Skyscanner. We were given 6 months to come up with ideas, build MVPs, and conduct experiments to prove whether Skyscanner can nudge travelers to fly more sustainably.
  • With a lean startup approach, we conducted user research, defined KPIs, designed and built the prototypes, and finally analyse the experiment results to validate our hypothesis.
  • We managed to launch several sustainability features in 6 months. Among them, 'Greener flight', a feature that highlights flights with less CO2 emission based on their aircraft type, number of stops, and seat layout, has proven to be a success. As a result of that, I scaled the team and also took on the management role.
  • I then changed my focus to establishing a team culture and a way of working to reduce team friction and increase team throughput. And also motivating and developing engineers to help them achieve their career goals.
