• At Lumiere, our mission is to create world-class research and mentorship opportunities for talented students all over the world. Since founding, we have had over 5000 students apply to our programs, worked with 1000 research mentors, and given out over 1.8 million USD in financial aid. Each year, over 400 high-achieving, low-income students do research with us for free through our non-profit, the Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation.

• At Fulbright, I worked with the President and Chief of Staff in three areas:
• 1. Developing fundraising strategy to make the university sustainable.
• 2. Setting academic strategy, including design of the undergraduate curriculum and required courses
• 3. Establishing Fullbright's inaugural Mandarin Language Program
• Fulbright University is Vietnam's first-ever non-profit, private, liberal arts university. It is born from a teaching program that Harvard administered for 20 years in Vietnam, named after anti-Vietnam war Senator Fulbright, and made possible by sizable donations by the US & Vietnamese government.

• At McKinsey, my focus was applying machine learning to organizational-wide problems. During my time, this included digital transformations in China, forecasting demand for retail companies in San Francisco, and creating consumer segmentation for large consumer companies in Japan.
• I worked across two roles at the Firm. I began as a data scientist (Boston-based) and ended as a business analyst (Beijing-based). I served in each role for about a year.

• Applied advanced statistical modeling to network data. Compiled a report of 13 consulting deployments that Humanyze had done with Fortune 500 partners. Presented the report to Humanyze's analytics group and to the entire company at a company-wide meeting. Used Python and R for the analysis.

• Work with Professor Teresa Amabile on research in meaning and identity during a retirement transition. Helped with literature reviews, statistical analysis, and qualitative analysis.
• Assisted Professor Bill George on the launch of his new book "Discover Your True North". Helped with writing, editing, and social media marketing.

• Worked as a teaching fellow for the introductory computer science course at Harvard College. Led personal section of 15 undergraduates.
• Got fired because I pulled a campaign stunt in class when running for student body president (we also lost that campaign… ouch.)

• I worked in Kigali, Rwanda my freshman summer as a software engineer at Axis Development. During that time, I developed a prototype that allowed Rwandan companies to use mobile money to pay their employees.

• In college, I started a flash mob. The idea was to raise awareness for Malaria. Was it a good idea? 🤷🏻‍♂️
• The flash mob occurred on World Malaria Day: April 25, 2014. Over 700 students attended the flash mob in Harare, Zimbabwe; Beijing, China; and Cambridge, MA.

• I lived in Taipei as an exchange student in the all-boys high school, Jianguo Municipal High School. During my time as an exchange student, I was elected as president of Taipei's Rotary Exchange Program and failed to make the school team in ballroom dance (You win some, you lose some.)
