About

I am a 2011 B.Tech. graduate in Information Technology, from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Working as part of Security Platform Services for the past 3 years, I have participated and led significant initiatives in terms of design and delivery of a very complex Event Management System. Undoubtedly this endeavour has enriched me immensely in so many ways from a technical, professional and personal point of view. I faced my biggest scaling challenge of the career here, not to mention the wide spectrum of use-cases that tagged along. Interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the journey, I learnt a lot from amazing people who came from very different cultures, backgrounds and experiences. This has allowed me to see some of the interesting perspectives that I might have missed earlier. I have been working closely with my product manager to define our roadmaps and long term vision for the team and breaking it down into milestones that can be targeted individually and used for short-term planning and actual execution. Hosting internal training sessions and defining paths for junior members of the team to ensure they grow towards self-sufficiency and impactful members of the team is another aspect I have been trying to focus on. Driving discussions with various documents and drafting them for short-term planning and long-term reference is another very impactful habit I picked up working on this project. Before this, I was working with Livspace as a full-stack developer and has been part of many projects. There, I have had the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain a handful of web applications(JAVA based) from scratch, which definitely presented a unique set of challenges and learning opportunities. As for my early years of experience, I joined Oracle straight out of campus and worked there till June 2013. After which I have been involved as a founder/managing partner in an e-commerce startup project. My work involved the extensive usage of PHP (Code Igniter Framework), MySQL, jQuery, Bootstrap. I was responsible for end-to-end development ranging from Database Design, UI Design, Server-Side Coding, and Maintenance. I was also involved in active client interactions at both business and consumer ends. Consecutively, I contributed as a member of SellerFront team in Snapdeal, where I started as UI Developer and overtime expanded my role to backend tasks of writing JAVA APIs and design decisions for the implementation of new features and modules to serve scaling business requirements.
