Leader | Strategist | Cultural Anchor Building people-first, high-performance cultures for global advisory firms has been the throughline of my career. From a home-office start-up in Virginia, USA, in 23 years, Synergy has grown into a 270+ person, 14-office global firm advising on infrastructure projects totaling > $50B across 80+ countries. As Co-Founder and Chief Organization Development & Brand Strategist, I focused on how our people experience our firm—not just how our projects perform—serving as cultural anchor and "leader of firsts" behind the organizational systems, traditions, and brand presence that make Synergy a place where talented people grow and lead. I didn't come to Synergy as a finance expert; I came as a builder of organizations. I was instrumental in launching Synergy’s first international office in New Delhi, India and designing programs that turned early hires into long tenured leaders. Over the years, I've led many "firsts" @ Synergy: our performance-review process, behavioral-competency framework, Synergy Internship Program, health insurance, paid maternity leave, Synergy Service Initiative, celebrating major global festivals, team members’ birthdays, off-site retreats. I led the HR reorganization that helped us scale without losing our democratic, people-first culture. I also launched marketing as a dedicated vertical, created the Synergy name and logo, and defined our visual identity. My ability to capture the collective vision of Synergy’s leadership and working together with US designers and Washington DC based web teams, have helped me deliver Synergy as the brand. I grew Synergy's LinkedIn company page from < 1,000 followers to > 47,000 in a decade by driving thought leadership and elevating younger professionals through article programs. Using digital channels with discipline and a careful budget is my forte. I also lead the design of our exhibition presence at international forums such as the Africa Energy Forum, where our stands must tell an impactful story in seconds. Today, my work centers on brand, media marketing, and communications for Synergy's global footprint; storytelling that highlights our teams as the heroes; and organizational development for new frontiers as we expand in the Americas and formalize our global platform for training development and learning through our new launch - Synergy Academy. What I'm most proud of is helping create an environment where talented people can do front line, client facing work on complex infrastructure projects—and feel seen, supported, and inspired while they do it.
