• Dhani Store:
• Designed and developed the online marketplace app backend from scratch. Collaborated closely with multiple teams through direct interaction to advance the project: Product Team, QA Team, Marketing Team, Operations Team, Technical Support Team, Analytics Team, and Third-Party Software Teams. Achieved 60% improvement in high latency APIs using appropriate database indices and caching. Reduced inventory sync script runtime by over 95% using fitting constraints and multithreading. Decreased the number of pods by 80%, during peak hours, by introducing Gunicorn at the top of Flask App.
• Dhani Seller Portal:
• Utilized the backend of the seller portal from a dormant project and elevated the service in a span of 2 days. Furthermore, integrated the backend with the Dhani Store in a short timeline. Reduced API latency by more than 70%, relocating asynchronous jobs to a separate server with the help of Celery.
• Data Warehouse & Reports:
• Built a data warehouse, extracted data from multiple sources using Singer Taps, transformed it to implement the Time Travel Feature, and generated reports using Power BI. Achieved a 90% reduction in data processing script time by using fewer database queries to update the data in bulk rather than row by row.
• File Ops:
• Developed this microservice from the ground up to meet the requirements of generating PDF files from HTML. Explored multiple Python libraries to reduce the API response time by more than half. Also optimised the Kubernetes Nodes Confi g and Pods per Node value to cut the running cost in half.
• During my tenure here, I have engineered additional microservices such as “Express Medicine Delivery” and “DGC” using the Flask framework. I led a team of 5 engineers and mentored 2 junior members. Additionally, I offered support to other teams, addressing a scalability issue in production during cloud platform migration, and listing and finalizing product requirements and further designing it.

• Developed the search API at scale for Monster Jobs using AWS Elasticsearch to handle the substantial traffic generated by recruiters searching through more than 60 million profiles.
• To achieve AB testing, implemented two-way sync between the old monolith DB and the new DB using Debezium.
• Coordinated with TPC (Training & Placement Cell) at some IITs during the placement season, conducting interviews of numerous candidates to contribute to the company’s hiring process.
