  • In 2012, Genesys was spun-out from Alcatel-Lucent in a $1.6B transaction with Permira. In September 2016, Hellman and Friedman invested valuing Genesys at $3.8B. With the $1.4B Interactive Intelligence acquisition in December 2016, Genesys is now valued at approximately $5.2B. Genesys has grown revenue from $565m in 2011 to approximately $1.5B in 2018, expanding its product line to address customers of all sizes, moving aggressively into the Cloud and acquiring 14 companies. Today, Genesys is the largest privately held software company in Silicon Valley, the largest Cloud provider in its space, is highly profitable, and does business in over 80 countries.
