• Worked for 6 months as Industrial Trainee at Emami Ltd. Masat unit (Jan 2023- July 2023)
• and worked on 2 projects (1st completed, 2nd ongoing). Following are the projects and the
• work done
• Steam consumption optimisation- the aim was to calculate the amount of steam wasted, to
• find the reasons for the wastage, calculate the major losses and the cost of fuel which is
• wasted to produce the unused steam and eliminate the losses by taking required actions. The
• tasks includes:
• ● Recording daily Steam production from boiler and calculation of steam consumed by
• machines using collected data of a month.
• ● Calculating wasted/unused steam, detecting losses and their causes, and evaluating
• data to find daily steam consumption patterns for each machine.
• ● Root Cause Analysis of losses, finding areas for improvement and recommending
• methods to reduce losses.
• Manpower optimisation-the goal is to improve total productivity by implementing kaizen
• practices such as reducing manpower, costs associated, bottlenecks and incorporating
• mechanisation or automation. The task includes:
• ● Identification of manual and automatic activities in packing lines.
• ● Time motion analysis of packing lines, identification of Value Added and Non Value
• Added activities and observing the manpower.
• ● Identifying bottlenecks and potential locations for automation/mechanisation.
• ● Creating designs for automating the existing process within the limits that exist.
