• I started Innovation Labs @ Flipkart Myntra-Jabong. The objective is to take really big bets that reimagine fashion and e-commerce with technology. We understand that all of them may not pan out well. But, some of them will sure do!
• I setup and manage Engineering, Product, UX, Hardware teams and work with Business / Category / Marketing divisions across the firm. I initiated the Wearables charter and acquired Witworks to kickstart this. I also initiated the Store of the Future (New Retail) and the AR initiative for which I built the AR Platform and its products. Some of our biggest launches since the division was formed are:

• In relation to this, I built the RFID center of excellence and am working on RFID based initiatives for warehousing and logistics.

• I started Ola Innovation Labs, an initiative within Ola to push the boundaries of in-car experience. I launched the Auto-Connect WiFi for enhanced in-car connectivity, and Ola Play, the world's first and only contextual service platform for ridesharing economy.

• · Put together a 60-member world-class team comprimising Tech / Engineering, Product, UX and Hardware for Ola Labs and delivered the world’s first zero-touch seamless in-car internet connectivity experience (Ola Autoconnect WiFi). Serving over 50 Million customers today
• · Conceived, built and deployed Ola Play, world’s first contextual connected car platform for ride sharing economy. Ola Play allows its partners (e.g. Apple Music, Sony LIV, etc) to engage with Ola's customers during their rides by providing various services like music, video and shopping, thus creating revenue streams that monetize billions of rider minutes every month. Backed by several patents listed in the Patents section.
• · Worked with all teams as part of core engineering efforts to improve many Ola functions including leasing, driver app, and consumer app. Built a fully reactive, scalable backend supports over 10 million rides per day with iOS and Android platform teams.

• Played a lead role in defining Altiostar’s C-RAN architecture, and created the world’s first CRAN (Cloud – Radio Access Network) for 4G/LTE with Ethernet Fronthaul which competitors thought was impossible :-)
• · Lead a team of 170 members for End-to-End integration and released first version of the the CRAN This involved marrying of Virtualization / Cloud computing with low-latency realtime network traffic.
• · Lead a team of 25 people to implement the base CRAN platform.
• · Built the complex split architecture which is core for this CRAN from scratch (3M LoC), working with Marketing, Customer Engineering and PLM teams

Apr 2009 – Oct 2013 · 4 yrs 6 mos · Bangalore

• Built UMobile from ground up to deliver seamless connectivity across heterogeneous networks for end-user devices and transparently manage content across user devices. Went over the entire cycle of bootstrapping, prototyping, closed user group testing, funding, deployment etc. Played a lead role in defining the LTE Seamless Connectivity Modules with HetNet handover. UMobile had many International and Indian customers.
• · Built a team from scratch to include senior members from ST Ericsson, IMS Forums, Philips, Microsoft, Nokia etc.
• . Setup Engineering, Design, Marketing / Sales / Business Development teams across India, Japan, Taiwan and USA
• · Lead the team to create successful products in Seamless Connectivity (World’s first 4G Connection Management Software with Seamless WiFi offload) and Cloud-based Service Delivery Platform (Kepplr).
• · Raised capital (about 1 MM USD), and acquired various customers including Broadcom, Intel, Spice, Karbonn and Intex
• UMobile was winner of various awards like TechSparks 2011, QPrize (Finalist - 2011), Red Herring Asia (2013), beLAUNCH - India Winner (2013). It was selected to appear on UTV Bloomberg's show The Pitch as top 10 most promising startups in the country. I went on to be the finalist for winning the funding award.
• UMobile was unfortunately ahead of the market for some of its key products like ANDSF based Seamless offload. UMobile had to wrap up its operations in 2013.

• I was part of world’s first 4G network deployment in S. Korea in 2005 (Identified, located and ironed out issues during this first 4G deployment) and played a lead role in delivering products to OEMs and Network operators.
• · Built the entire system from scratch – Standards -> Spec -> Implementation -> Deployment
• · Built a team to design, develop, test and deploy 4G (WiMAX)
• · Single-handedly conceived, built and deployed a debugger/interaction console for 4G chipsets (SWIN) which came to be widely adopted by dev team and external customers (Samsung, AT&T, Motorola etc.) as the industry standard
• · Supported interoperability testing for various programs internationally
• · Worked with cross functional teams (hardware, RF, PHY / MAC / HOST, OEM/ODM) to deliver complete products to the market
• The team was later acquired by Broadcom in 2009 for 340 MM USD
