Inherited the Operations Engineering org in 2017 with 3 engineers facing a lot of technical debt
Grew the team to 25 engineers and re-architected our OMS platform to support fulfilment of 500k shipments/day
The Operations Engineering Team builds and maintains the following services -
Checkout Service - Our Order pipeline which consumes orders from our consumer apps (Fynd, Fynd Store, Uniket) and external integrations
Order Fulfilment and OMS - Generic Order Management System to support a variety of order journeys from stores, warehouses, marketplaces, in store pickups
Logistics Service - This service does two things really well. Logistics Cost optimisation by bin packing shipments & orchestrating shipments with our Delivery Partners (Delhivery, Ecom Express, Bluedart, Lalamov, Ekart)
Real Time Integrations - Marketplace, Point of Sale and Multichannel aggregator integrations orchestrator. Currently supports Amazon MWS, Myntra OMS, Ajio, Tata Cliq, Vinculum, Unicommerce, Browntape, JioPOS to name a few
Finance Reconciliation & Reporting - Event driven financial reporting pipeline to automate seller reconciliations and internal analytics
Consistently rated the highest amongst peer managers in our Bi-Annual Upward Feedback Survey since 2 years
Ran our engineering hiring from 2015 onwards. Grew the platform team from 2 to 9 members in 2015 & then grew Ops Engineering from 3 to 25
Bootstrapped Engineering On-boarding programme. This includes code labs in Python 3, debugging exercises and small code snippets on our various components of our stack
