João Gonçalves had a professional development focused in Business Development, Negotiation and Sales. Having started as a junior Salesman rapidly grew to very responsible functions in the sales arena. Developing in a multinational environment interacted with different stakeholders, using the technical skills to design, propose and sell, highly complex and valuable solutions (Bids larger than 25 M€), and after 6 years was Director of Banking and Finance Markets, responsible for 60% of the subsidiary Budget. The development of entrepreneurial activities, required further skills development, mainly sourcing negotiation, system design and development, business development, operations optimization, cost sensitive solutions, becoming responsible for P&L and overall marketing, commercial activity and business development of the companies that followed in the professional career. For the past 26 years of professional activity, a natural curiosity, allied to a strong sense of customer needs, allowed to create a comprehensive approach to problem solving, with innovative/disruptive solutions presented and implemented in the market. The design of cross-country solution, resulted in activity in different countries, mainly in Poland and Portugal. A highly developed negotiation skills with the full comprehension of teamwork advantages, allowed to achieve the best results, even with sales cycles of up to 4 years. The total assumption that a Win-Win approach, either with the Client (delivery) as with the Suppliers/Partners (sourcing) resulted in extremely successful solutions. Native Portuguese has business proficiency in English, Spanish and Italian.
