Sir Richard Harpin — Co-Founder
I'm Richard Harpin. I started my first business in school, selling conkers in plastic bags. I hired friends to shake them from trees and paid them by the bag. That was the first time I saw how systems and scale beat doing it all yourself. A few decades later, I built HomeServe into a £4.1bn FTSE 100 company. It started with plumbing emergencies and grew into a global home assistance company with 8.5 million members. Now I'm focused on helping the next generation of founders do it faster, with fewer wrong turns. Because I know what it’s like to: - Run out of money - Not know what works and what doesn't - Have too many ideas and not enough focus - Run a business with no real peer support I’ve struggled with these challenges, and I’ve seen them stall great businesses. That’s why I now focus on supporting founders through: ➡ How to Make a Billion in 9 Steps. (My new book) ➡ Business Leader (My UK founder community for £3M+ businesses) ➡ Growth Partner (Where I invest in founder-led companies and help them grow) If you’re building something real and want to be part of the next wave of UK market leaders, follow me here. And don't forget to buy my book to get the 9-step system I wish I had 30 years ago, via the link at the top of my profile.
