• Currently working as a 4th Engineer onboard MSC Group vessels.
• Apart from being an Engineering Officer In-charge of a Watch, My responsibilities include bunkering of fuel oil, discharging sludge, and gauging accurate manual daily soundings of the same. Next, I am in-charge of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of GEA Westfalia fuel oil and lube oil separators, J.P. Sauer main and service air compressors, engine room lube oil, sea-water and fresh water pumps and corresponding valves. I also maintain fuel oil and lube oil ROB and inventory to accurately control monthly consumption of the same, in line with company budgeting. Further, I look after ZEME Hybrid EGCS Scrubber, which is installed onboard for frictionless open and close-loop operation, thereby abiding by international SOx norms.
• I have also had the opportunity to work on main engine unit overhauls, which included exhaust valve, liner as well as piston replacements. I have also assisted with classification, flag and port state surveys from time to time, maintaining zero deficiency of machineries and equipment under my charge.

• Sailed as a Junior Engineer onboard the World's Biggest container ship, MSC Mariella. The 24,346 TEU mega-ship is powered by the latest gas-ready WinGD 11X92-B-TII Main Engine, capable of maintaining 60,800 kW of power at 76 RPM.
• Being onboard a 2023-built, IMO Tier III Compliant vessel provided me with an opportunity to be well familiarised with the latest technologies deployed onboard, which included Air-Lubrication System for hull-resistance reduction, the latest generation of Wärtsilä EGCS (Hybrid Scrubber), GE Shaft Generator (PTI/PTO), K-Chief 600 Marine Automation System, Direct-Drive F.O. & L.O. Purifiers and more.
• Experience onboard the 400m long vessel include:
• Assisting during manoeuvering operations.
• Operations, maintenance and overhauling of GEA Westfalia Purifiers and Sauer Compressors (assisting 4/E).
• Assisting 3/E with operation, maintenance, inspection and overhauling of Hyundai-Himsen Generators, Kangrim Auxiliary Boiler & Exhaust Gas Boiler, including blowdowns and sampling.
• Assisting during bunker operations (HFO, VLSFO, MGO & LO) and sludge discharge
• Executing precise sounding and data logging of 14 Non-IOPP Tanks, 6 IOPP tanks and bunker tanks (during bunkering operations)
• Generating Main Engine Performance Report twice every month.
• Logging flowmeter counters of Main Engine, Auxiliary Engines (equipped with DVT) and the primary boiler.
• Performing fuel oil and bilge-transfer operations, starting-up auxiliary engines and assisting my seniors with day-to-day maintenance works onboard involving varied machineries.
• Maintaining noon-reports, manoeuvering reports and other voyage reports for E/R.
• Watchkeeping of the entire Engine Room, taking care of machinery worth millions.
• Assisting seniors during their everyday tasks onboard.
• Maintaining the log-book during my watchkeeping hours, which notes down the parameters of the Main Engine, Aux. Engines and other machinery onboard, and most importantly, learning.
