About

I have worked as the right hand / Operations Lead to early stage tech founders for over 10 years. I have built a range of functions from scratch and overlooked the majority of startup operations from Strategy, Project Management to Customer Success, Product, Sales and HR. I gained my vast operational experience from joining very small teams at the start of their development (usually as the employee No. 4), and have a proven track record of setting startups up for success by hiring the right team and laying solid foundations for scale, e.g. Quantico, Guider, Duel Tech, IONIQ Group. Finding the right talent for startups is something I have always been passionate about, good at and proud of - so I developed and launched my own bootcamp program for first time founders on "How to ace your first ten hires" to help them during the Great Resignation period. I advocate for a balanced life, personal development and healthy lifestyle. When it comes to personal interests - variety is key. I enjoy travelling, art, music, tennis, meditating and 35mm film photography.

Mar 2024Jun 2025 · 1 yr 3 mos · Mexico City, Mexico · Remote

  • I restarted my engagement, and over the past year and a bit, have worn many hats across HR, operations, and fundraising — helping shape and scale Mastodon through a pivotal growth phase.
  • Some of my key accomplishments:
  • People & Culture
  • Tripled the team by hiring exceptional talent across engineering and operations
  • Built Mastodon’s hiring infrastructure from scratch — designing best-practice processes in Ashby ATS to manage a pipeline of 1,510+ candidates
  • Improved onboarding and retention by launching structured check-ins and feedback loops for new hires
  • Strengthened organisational culture by leading regular virtual gatherings and fostering transparent communication
  • Introduced a framework for fair salary raises, reviewed and transitioned team contracts to align with remote-first best practices and global compliance
  • Fundraising & Donor Strategy
  • Raised over €200K through strategic fundraising — including grant writing, Giving Tuesday campaigns, Patreon engagement, and targeted outreach
  • Led donor re-engagement efforts, including the Annual Report, policy updates, Patreon revamp, and email campaigns
  • Centralised and automated donor data by migrating to folk CRM and integrating with Patreon/Stripe — creating a single source of truth

Welcoming grief

Founder

Jun 2023Present · 2 yrs 9 mos

  • A safe space for people to open up about grief and connect with others over a similar grief experience.
  • But since grief is so broad and wide like the ocean, we aim to narrow the conversations down to a “pond” at a time. We do this by focusing on a *theme* every month and by inviting experienced guest speakers to lead the conversation. Take a look at our upcoming sessions: https://lu.ma/welcominGrief

Coleap

Creator of "How to ace your first 10 hires" bootcamp

Feb 2022Apr 2022 · 2 mos · Remote

  • Condensing my 10+ years experience and hiring expertise into a 1 week bootcamp for first time founders on "How to ace your first 10 hires". My aim is to equip founders with the necessary hiring tools and frameworks so that they can grow teams with confidence, saving time and money.
  • I’ve often seen first time founders still struggle to hire top talent, simply because they are usually so overworked they rush the process or have no clear hiring plan in place. It is even more challenging now with the Great Resignation, war on tech talent and disparity in VC funding.
  • Hiring is not just about “being good with people” - it is about knowing how to attract top talent, who to hire first, building an active network of talent and having a very structured assessment process.
  • And this isn't just another online course. I will be bringing together a group of like-minded, founders from a variety of backgrounds, to learn, practice and connect through deep dives and projects. Making it 10x faster than learning on your own and 10x cheaper than hiring a consultant.
