Ananta Ganjoo has a background in Architecture and Urban Design with about eight years of comprehensive professional experience throughout India and outside. She has been involved in the design of various large-scale and multi-layered urban design projects, which include India Smart Cities Mission, master planning for new cities, street-scaping & urban design proposals in existing core city areas, and multiple renewal & regeneration proposals in tier I and II cities. Ananta has been a part of multidisciplinary teams and is competent in developing a large-scale project from outline vision to detail master planning stage, compliant with the local planning/development norms. She has worked extensively with various stakeholders in the Government at the Central and State levels, Urban local bodies, the Defense sector, private real estate developers, NGOs, unions, etc. Ananta has previously worked with the National Institute of Urban Affairs in Delhi as a Research Associate, where she was engaged in urban policy research, spatial planning, and strategy formulation for the Master Plan of Delhi 2041 and Child-friendly Smart Cities. With AECOM, Ananta worked on a wide array of projects ranging from Smart Cities Proposal and PMC, Waterfront Development, Mixed-Use Integrated Townships, Transit-Oriented Developments, Regional Land Use & Transportation Planning to Strategic Planning, Urban Design Guideline Framework, and Community Development & Citizen Engagement. She is currently working as a Consultant (Business Development & Projects) with AIPL, Delhi. Ananta has also been among the top candidates, representing India in the Indo-French exchange initiatives- 2018 Young Architects and Urban Designers Program and 2019 Young Club Leaders. She has been a panelist and speaker in Paris Peace Forum 2019 on the subject of Sustainable Cities. All through her academic and professional practice Ananta has been committed to the design and delivery of projects that keep ‘people’- users of space at the forefront and focus on adopting a strategic approach to respond to their needs while enhancing livability and quality of space.
