• Amber provides infrastructure to the wireless service provider industry, enabling Wireless Service Providers to fill in gaps in capacity or coverage in their existing networks by locating low power transmission equipment in any of Ambers approximately five million contracted locations across the United States. I was part of the founding team responsible for raising in the region of $15 million in start-up and growth equity, building systems and controls, management team, and contract development.

• Although well funded, I managed our cost of operations carefully, by building a 100 person engineering center in Bangalore and ensuring effective international communication and controls.

• Virtual I-O was a Seattle based pioneer in developping stereoscopic 3D displays for the consumer and specialist market. The Company, backed by Comcast(then TCI), Intel, Logitech, Thomson and bausch and Lomb, shipped over 40,000 of its head mounted display units into the consumer entertainment channel. I joined the Company as CFO to scale and improve systems and controls in readiness for a planned IPO.

• Performed a number of increasingly responsible financial and general management roles in UK, Europe, and the US as the Company went from management buy out from Warner Communications, to a billion dollaar public company on Amex. I was involved in a number of M&A transactions as the company expanded its international distribution and manufacturing network. As Corporate Controller and VP of Finance I saw the Company through an IPO and secondary offering, and the acquisition of the Federated group. I was responsible for building an international finance team, communication corporate policies, and auditing and ensuring control and compliance across 14 subsidiaries.
