Rukaiya comes with over 2 decades of experience in scaling businesses in the technology, fashion, FMCG and fintech industries and has worked across the US, Singapore, Japan and India. She spent 8 years at Dell prior to coming to India with Rocket Internet, helping the VC establish its portfolio in the country. At Rocket she helped establish Groupon India (taking the company pan-India) and was responsible for the Marketplace division at Jabong (managing a $100m annual top line). Rukaiya made Marketplace the fastest growing and most profitable division at Jabong. She has worked across both startups and large multinationals. At Arvind, she built the brand house's ecommerce strategy and platform, and drove seamless O2O customer experience via store digitization initiatives, resulting in 200% YOY growth and a breakeven business. In her last role, Rukaiya led Marico's in-house incubator for digital first brands, where she created new organization wide capabilities like agile product launches in less than 45 days, in house content creation and digital marketing. Her portfolio of personal care and functional food brands doubled in revenue YOY. Rukaiya has a MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Purdue.
