Working in the Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) team and helping people to run their bug data jobs faster and securely. Most recently I worked on the EMR on EKS team and helped launch support for running Spark workloads on EKS. I helped shape the product from its beginning and worked on the Jobs and Endpoint designs and implementation. This required deep insights into AWS services like Lambda, SQS, SNS, DDB, KMS, Cloudwatch, Cloudformation, Xray, etc. The whole project was done in less than 5 months where we started in March and delivered the product as private beta in September followed by GA launch in November (Re:invent 2020).
