• Building and operating core data governance infrastructure (schema registry) for Kafka at scale in Confluent
• Led a team of 3 engineers over 2+ quarters to design and build a Go-based microservice from the ground up, serving as the control plane for Schema Registry cluster lifecycle management in Confluent Cloud. Successfully drove the service to production, including observability (monitoring/alerting), operational runbooks, and scalable event-driven provisioning for cluster lifecycle workflows.
• Spearheaded large-scale data migration to a next-generation, cloud-native storage platform, transitioning thousands of customer schema resources from Kafka-based storage to a microservices-backed system with zero downtime.
• Contributed to the general availability of private network connectivity (Private Link) for Schema Registry across AWS, Azure, and GCP, enabling secure, enterprise-grade connectivity for customers.
• Confluent for Kubernetes Operator
• Contributed to Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK), enhancing the Kubernetes operator that manages Confluent Platform deployments on-premises. Delivered key features including pod resource overlays for workload customization, multi-listener support, certificate management, and schema compatibility enhancements.
