Naga Abhilash Chadaram — Product Engineer
Creative - Confident - Committed to making a difference. I am a process engineer working at Intel Corp, who loves technology and the environment equally. Hence, I chose materials science and engineering as my major and I have worked on improving perovskite solar cell's efficiency and stability. I prefer not to be the smartest guy in the room so that I can learn from everyone else around me, but I am extremely resourceful and will get the work done on time. Previously worked in a lead-acid battery recycling plant in the operations department, managing a team of around 25 people from different in-plant departments despite being the youngest employee in the plant. This helped me grow a lot in my people and management skills and also giving me an idea of how a production line works and how it related to various metrics of the company. During the internship at IISc, Bangalore, my senior year final research project and also my current research work on perovskite solar cells at Texas A&M University, I have been acquainted with cleanroom working conditions, how to work and operate in a lab, multiple characterization techniques, different fabrications techniques, and various destructive and non-destructive testing methods. I have also taken relevant courses like thin film science and technology, metamaterial and nanophotonics, multifunctional materials, etc. to gain more knowledge in those domains. My personal interests include traveling, hiking, reading books, content creation to help international students on my YouTube channel and my podcast, photography, sketching, singing and talking to people of different origins and cultures to broaden my horizon. You can reach me at abhilash.naga2110@gmail.com, for geeking out about renewable energy, electric vehicles, talking about travel experiences, discussing career opportunities, or just a simple chat.
