Ganesh Ravi — Recruiter
I’ve spent nearly 9 years in corporate Human Resources, learning that HR is way more than pushing policies or playing calendar Tetris. For me, “People Function” should actually feel like it belongs to people. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to work on everything from global onboarding to recruitment coordination, and to help keep the cultural spark alive in tech GCCs (even when Q3 tries to put it out). I’ve seen that when you give people the right start, they tend to stick around longer—and maybe even enjoy it. I’ve worked on frameworks that travel well across time zones, cultures, and personalities—ones that feel more like a warm welcome than a compliance checklist. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of starting internal music bands, hosting company jams, and nudging leadership to see that people singing in the pantry might actually be culture. One highlight was helping launch the Pride Network India Chapter—a reminder that inclusion should be lived every day, not just printed on a banner once a year. For me, empathy isn’t a corporate buzzword—it’s the starting point. My goal has always been simple: create spaces where people feel safe, respected, and maybe even inspired to bring their best selves to work. Outside HR, I’m a village-raised coastal Karnataka soul who sings loudly, sketches quietly, dreams big, and experiments with reel ideas that may or may not make it to Instagram. I’m currently exploring content creation more seriously, giving my passions—music, storytelling, creativity—the space they deserve instead of cramming them under “hobbies” on my CV. Education-wise, I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology, English Lit & Journalism, and a Master’s in Social Work (HRM & IR)—which means I can listen to your exit interview, analyze it, and maybe write a poem about it too. And yes, all opinions here are mine. If my employers ever adopted them, we’d probably sound awesome together.
