With over 30 years of experience in the telecommunication industry, FMCG , Healthcare and logistics , I am the Group CEO of Hemas holding PLC one of Sri Lanka’s largest MNC with presence in FMCG , Healthcare and Logistics . I was the CEO and MD at Bharti Airtel Sri Lanka before this , where I lead the business operations, strategy, and performance of one of the fastest-growing mobile service providers in the country. I have a proven track record of setting up new businesses, merger and acqusitions , achieving financial turnarounds, increasing revenue market share, and managing large-scale operations in challenging and competitive markets. My core competencies include sales and marketing, product and brand management, business planning and strategy, retail and e-commerce, and enterprise account management. Subsequently, was given the charge of managing sales & marketing function for Haryana circle. This was an exceptional turnaround and I also received the country’s Best Sales and Marketing Head awards for consecutive two years.
  • Moving on, I was entrusted with the responsibility for sales, marketing, retail, and e-commerce business across Delhi and NCR region (which is one of the largest business units of Vodafone India) with accountability for the delivery of revenue, customer numbers, brand advocacy, delivery of new businesses. Here, the circle received the prestigious award of ‘Best Sales Circle’ among all circles across the country. My next role involved providing leadership to the entire business operations and managing P&L responsibility for Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. I was instrumental in turning around the bleeding operations and improving revenue market share. My efforts were recognized and I received prestigious awards including ‘Best Run Circle’ and ‘Best Marketing Circle’ among all circles across the country.
