About

I’m an organization builder with over three decades of experience helping companies scale across India, Asia, the US, and Europe—at the intersection of clarity, culture, and capability. Whether it’s a high-growth startup or a global enterprise, my work has always centered on one question: how do we build institutions that endure? I’ve led the setup and growth of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) for Qualcomm, AT&T, and Rambus—focusing on organization design, leadership hiring, and culture integration to make these hubs not just cost centers, but engines of innovation and strategic value. At Accel, I brought that same lens to the venture world. Building a VC firm wasn’t just about hiring—it was about aligning on values, defining clear career paths, designing rewards systems (including carry/non-carry), and coaching the next generation of leaders. We institutionalized a people-first, performance-driven culture that scaled with intention. As a Venture Partner, I’ve worked alongside some of India’s most iconic startups—Flipkart, Freshworks, Swiggy, Urban Company, Browserstack, Moglix, Mindtickle, and many more—helping them navigate scale, leadership transitions, and organizational evolution. Today, I continue to advise growth-stage companies like Porter and Moglix on everything from IPO preparedness to increasing revenue per employee to reimagining org design. What drives me is the belief that great organizations aren’t built by accident. They’re built deliberately—through deep listening, rigorous thinking, and a commitment to people. That’s the work I love, and that’s what I bring to every founder, leadership team, and board I work with.

Rambus inc

Director, Human Resources

Mar 2007May 2013 · 6 yrs 2 mos · Bangalore, Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul, Milan, Germany

  • I was initially hired as the Senior Manager of HR to oversee operations in India. However, in 2009, I was promoted to manage Asia (Japan, Taiwan, and Korea) and Europe (Milan), and I have remained in this role since 2011. Starting in 2008, I was also a member of the India Site Leadership team, where I helped manage daily operations.
  • My main challenge was establishing an HR infrastructure to support business growth, integrate an acquired company, and address the high turnover rate and need for cohesive management processes in India and Asia. Additionally, I aimed to create a culture of innovation within the organization.
  • To tackle these challenges, I worked closely with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Line Management to reorganize the company and create a strategic roadmap. This included establishing a center of excellence and building an organization that could support growth and foster innovation.
  • As a result of these efforts, I developed policies and procedures, effective benefits programs, and a strategic talent acquisition and management system. This helped reduce employee turnover to less than 11% annually. I also successfully integrated two new acquisitions with our parent company and developed inclusive programs to enrich and enhance employee experiences.
  • Furthermore, I upgraded the quality of candidates we hired by developing a global hiring strategy and implementing interview skills training and management development programs. This led to 42% of employees being recruited annually through our employee referral program. We also successfully integrated the India Design Center as a global design center, with employees publishing patents and papers at international conferences.
  • Lastly, I developed an organization development practice to enhance managers' leadership skills. This program was well-recognized by HR practitioners and was even featured as a case study in a book written by Ganesh Chella.
