• As part of the project, I did extensive user research on the rural areas around the National Capital region (Noida, Ghaziabad), with the objective of understanding how low-literate users (who are early adopters of digital banking products) use authentications/security input mechanisms.

• I conducted studies, and field research and did documentation for creating design resources and case studies.
• Highlight: Conducted thorough studies and created documentation of the pottery business, household waste-recycling plants, and leather and garment manufacturing units of Dharavi, Mumbai.

• Utthan is a community of students of various Kanpur based Engineering Colleges who are involved in teaching underprivileged children of Panki, Kanpur; the group focuses on using playful techniques/alternative teaching methods to facilitate learning.
• The community accepted donations(in-kind) from locals and sold it to slum residents at significantly cheaper prices. The cash collected was used to fund the education of the kids from that slum.
• I was fortunate to have started this community in 2011 along with a few batchmates, and I am proud that this community is super-active and is bringing in the change in its own small ways.

• I started selling customized T-shirts to the clubs & various fests of my undergraduate college as an 18-year-old, 1st-year student. Over the next 3 years, I went on to sell customized T-shirts, Souvenirs & Accessories to 18 colleges across Kanpur, Lucknow & Allahabad.
• The willingness to scale the business made me act irrationally - to get more customers, I reduced my margins and started giving out consignments on credit, and it was fest season of 2011 that took away all the money that I had made, and left me with some great learnings.
