• www.iravel.com is a platform for Real Stories of Holidays. It is a community place to learn from recent trips of people like you & interact with those who have recently been to a destination that you are planning to visit. We launched in Dec 2014 and are keenly learning from the market. We have been selected for the FB Start program.

• Programming is a side interest & most recently I picked up Android programming and launched ‘Times Tables Master’ android app for teaching mathematics that has an average 4.5 star rating on play store.

• Set up & lead product management practice for www.hoteltravel.com (a business selling hotels online in 10 languages across the globe, acquired by makemytrip.com).
• Improved pricing and inventory comparison algorithms for getting best offerings from 60 + wholesale suppliers of global hotels inventory
• Created and achieved high growth plans (exceeded 100% Y-on-Y revenue and transaction growth in some quarters – highest in the industry) for Online Hotels Line of Business.
• Led a team of 6 high calibre product managers.
• Launched a completely revised online hotels product for makemytrip.com
• Created algorithms for hotels listing/ranking on the website replacing the discretionary manual process and thereby increasing conversions by 20%.
• Created algorithms that closely matched room’s inventory demand and supply giving MMT an edge in hotels supply
• Created the Industry leading hotels promotions and supply platform
• Pioneered hotel relationship management strategies that aligned with the overall business vision with the supply team.

• Led Project management & System Analysis (customer requirements translated to system specification) for a multi-million dollar customer account.
• Defined risk management and productivity processes for the organization.
• Worked across multi-location (US/India) and multi time zone teams
• Received coveted quarterly team award, given to one team across the organization per quarter

Jan 2002 – Jan 2005 · 3 yrs

• Did the specification, user acceptance testing and roll out of an AICC & SCORM (eLearning industry protocols) compliant eLearning product for banks and other financial services companies. This product was used by leading companies as well as independent individuals and was a part of the flagship offering
• Lead DTCC integration project. DTCC (Depository Trust Company and the National Securities Clearing Corporation) is a clearing house for billions of dollars worth of financial transactions and the project was dealing with their XML API
• Managed system integrations and product roll out for leading financial companies like Deutsche bank, NASD, Bank Of America

Oct 2001 – Dec 2002 · 1 yr 2 mos

• Created Learning Management System (played both development and system analyst roles) adopted by some of the most well-known names in higher education including Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) of India
• Created innovative e-case study product in partnership with faculty at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. This product closely resembled a similar product created by Harvard and received much critical acclaim.

• Single-handedly conceptualized developed an instant messenger “Corporate Manager” that could work on a LAN or Internet using java networking API an d swing technology.
• Software designing and programming apart from development of training materials for new entrants in the organization.
• Coming from a non-programming background, I clear Sun Java Certification with 93% score in less than a year.
