As the Founder and CEO of @moneyHOP, I’m on a mission to simplify cross-border payments for international students, families, and travellers while redefining the global financial ecosystem. My journey in the financial sector began nearly a decade ago. Still, my inspiration to create moneyHOP was deeply personal—born from my experiences as an international student navigating the complexities of currency exchange and payments in London. With a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, an M.S. in Financial Engineering from Imperial College London, and a B.Tech in Telecom Engineering, I’ve always been driven by a passion for solving problems at scale. My career began at tier-1 financial institutions like Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Jefferies, where I served as Vice-President specialising in electronic stock trading, quantitative portfolio management, and investment strategies. These experiences sharpened my skills in data-driven decision-making and strategic execution. In 2019, I founded moneyHOP in the UK to deliver transparent, cost-effective cross-border payment solutions. Today, we’ve remitted over $500M+ and saved over $5M for students in annual remittances with a team of 75 professionals in India. Beyond building a fintech that prioritises customer value, I am deeply committed to making a broader impact.
