I am passionate about applying my knowledge of Geoscience to uncover the hidden truths of the subsurface and contribute to shaping a sustainable and efficient energy future. With a keen interest in both Geophysics and Geology, I strive to explore their interdisciplinary dimensions to solve real-world challenges in energy and earth sciences. To build a strong foundation, I pursued research Intern at CSIR–NGRI Hyderabad, where I developed theoretical depth through core geoscience literature and hands-on projects. My curiosity further led me to work on practical applications, bridging the gap between classroom concepts and field realities. I did a Subsurface Geophysics Intern (2025) at bp, where I worked on Reservoir Characterisation through seismic attribute analysis (AVO, Spectral Decomposition) and Resource Estimation using GeoX in both probabilistic and deterministic frameworks by collaborating with Geology Intern. This experience has strengthened my understanding of advanced geophysical exploration practices in the oil & gas industry. Additionally, I had the opportunity to attend industry sessions that highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration within geosciences. I aim to continue leveraging technology, data, and geoscientific insights to address complex subsurface challenges and drive efficient energy solutions.

P&O Subsurface- Geophysicist Intern

Interpreted seismic horizons for key markers and faults; mapped top and base of potential gas accumulation based on polarity reversals across 6 major leads and performed time-to-depth conversion to define reservoir geometry.
Conducted angle stack study (Near-Mid-Far RGB blends, energy envelopes) for all leads to highlight amplitude variations and gas-charged sand. Evolved workflows to capture reservoir better from the background(Chi-angle analysis).
Performed reservoir characterization through AVO classification (Blueback RC in Petrel) and SpecD studies. Using Paleoscan, extracted 4 key seismic amplitude attributes (Sweetness, RMS, SNA) for area estimation under maximum, most-likely, and minimum scenarios, further incorporated structural characteristic (Variance), and scanned seismic depth volume of around 400 sq-km area to identify closures and refine geometry.
Collaborated with a geology intern to integrate petrophysical data; estimated Gas Initially In-Place (GIIP) using GeoX through deterministic and probabilistic approaches to unlock the resource potential of the field.
Proposed future derisking studies to reduce uncertainty, including AVO modelling (to distinguish gas from coal), wedge modelling (to determine detectability limits of tuning thickness for the AVO floor), and risk characterization (identifying potential drilling problems, shallow gas hazards, and integrating new findings).

Investigated the role of lithospheric structure in driving intermediate-to-deep seismicity (>80 km) beneath the NW Himalayas.
Applied Airy and Flexural Isostasy models, Bouguer anomaly inversion (Parker-Oldenburg algorithm), and effective elastic thickness (EET) estimation using Bouguer-topography coherence analysis (Forsyth method) to model lithospheric configuration. Programmed a custom code for seismicity visualization and GMT-based mapping.
Findings revealed under-compensated crustal roots, lithospheric underthrusting at around 100 km depth, and the slab break-off (>200 km) driving deep-focus earthquakes, confirming slab-pull mechanisms in Himalayan tectonics.
