Hi, I’m Navdeep, As a child, I realised two things - One that I wanted to be a part of the business world. Second - I was good at interpersonal skills. It came naturally to me and I wanted to build on it. This took me through the journey of taking commerce and eventually landed me in Pune at Symbiosis where I specialized in Marketing & HR. Both leverage people skills but on different scales. While choosing a company to work for, my checklist had three non-negotiable factors - 1. It has to be an internet first company 2. The product should have the potential to disrupt an existing market. 3. A profile in Business Development/Sales. Grofers(now Blinkit) was 'it'. The Time vs growth battle for me was extremely exciting to experience. I saw four different job role changes in a rapidly growing startup. I was responsible for business development expansion in the markets of Bangalore, and Mumbai. Eventually shifting to the role of Category Manager. I spearheaded the launch of the Organic & Gourmet category and was responsible for managing personal care. To be able to manage & grow key accounts contributing a significant GMV to the company was very gratifying. After Grofers, I started a dropshipping eCommerce company with my best friend called Quirky Elephant. In less than two years we served over 7000 customers from markets of US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. An enriching roller coaster ride that sharpened my toolkit as a leader. Joined Statiq to accelerate EV Adoption. Other than the two founders, I was the 5th employee to Join the team. First hand build the company and came up with business models that catapulted the company's growth, eventually raising a Series A funding of $27M. In the next phase, helped build the Projects & Key Accounts team here & solved crucial problems from the Founder's office. I am currently building Leher for the Indian Farmers. We are building OS for Input Application using Drones. We leverage and innovate on cutting-edge tech and make it extremely simple & accessible for farmers. At Leher, we make the complex simple. Our aim is to democratise precision farming, prevent pre-harvest losses, and increase per-acre yield for Indian Farmers.
