About

Having recently closed the chapter on Kind Mind, I'm navigating that unique space between ventures, reflecting on lessons learned whilst staying open to what comes next. My journey has taken me from fitness coaching in Hong Kong to founding a wellbeing tech startup during COVID. Along the way, I've built products from concept to market, led cross-functional teams, transformed user research into practical solutions, and made the tough calls that come with building something from nothing. The startup experience taught me to thrive in uncertainty, balance vision with pragmatism, and recognise when it's time to pivot or walk away. I've learned that success isn't just about perseverance, it's about making clear-eyed decisions, even difficult ones. What drives me is creating meaningful impact at the intersection of wellbeing, technology, and human-centred design. Whether building my own venture or contributing to an existing team, I bring a founder's mindset: ownership, resourcefulness, and a bias toward action. Currently exploring opportunities where I can leverage my experience in product development, team leadership, and strategic thinking. If you're working on something interesting in the health, fitness, or wellbeing space or know someone who is, I'd love to connect.

Ada ventures

Venture Scout

Feb 2024Present · 2 yrs 3 mos · London, England, United Kingdom · Remote

  • I work with Ada Ventures to source and support founders raising investment, with a focus on backing overlooked talent and breakthrough ideas across climate, economic empowerment, and health and ageing.
  • Ada Ventures is an inclusive venture capital firm investing between £250,000 and £1 million into early-stage technology companies in the UK. We are currently investing from our second fund and remain committed to the belief that exceptional ideas can come from anywhere, not just traditional networks.
  • In my role, I connect with founders, help them navigate the early stages of raising capital, and bring forward opportunities that align with Ada’s mission and values. If you are raising or thinking about raising investment, please feel free to reach out to me here on LinkedIn. Always happy to help where I can.

Propel teams

Jan 2022Aug 2023 · 1 yr 7 mos

  • After returning to the UK, I joined Propel Teams to build my network and sharpen my skills by working on a real-world startup project. I took the role on a sweat equity basis and drove momentum across product development, user research, and early-stage business building.
  • I manually built and tested our proof of concept, closed partnerships with sector influencers, created early traction through outreach, and grew a pipeline of over 200 potential users. I also pitched the opportunity to investors and industry leaders.
  • This experience gave me full ownership of a product's progress for the first time. It taught me how to move quickly, lead without waiting for permission, and balance scrappiness with clear thinking.

Kind mind

Founder

Sep 2021Mar 2025 · 3 yrs 6 mos

  • Kind Mind was born from a personal experience of isolation during COVID and a belief that wellbeing support needed to be more accessible, scalable, and impactful. I set out to disrupt the traditional (and often unengaging) Employee Assistance Program model by meeting people where they are and building a WhatsApp-based alternative.
  • I founded and led the company from idea to launch, overseeing product development, user research, go-to-market strategy, and early partnerships.
  • The experience taught me how to lead across every part of the product lifecycle, validate ideas quickly, scope smarter, stay close to users, move fast with limited resources, and trust my judgement when making the hard calls.
  • I made the decision to close Kind Mind when it became clear that the opportunity cost of continuing outweighed the traction we had built. It was not an easy call, but it was the right one and the journey has only left me even more driven to build, contribute and grow in my next chapter.

  • When ATP decided to open a new location in Singapore, I put my hand up to help lead the move. I relocated to Singapore and took ownership of setting the culture, mentoring new coaches, and delivering internal professional development.
  • Building a new site from the ground up was a big step up in responsibility. I had to be organised, empathetic, and lead by example, while helping new team members find their footing.
  • The move also gave me a better quality of life after a tough period living through the unrest in Hong Kong. It gave me space to grow — professionally and personally — and taught me the foundations of leadership that I still carry into my work today.

Coach

Oct 2018Aug 2019 · 10 mos

  • I joined ATP Personal Training in Hong Kong to get paid experience alongside my internship and keep developing my skills as a coach.
  • I coached a wide range of clients across different cultures and industries, building strong relationships both on and off the gym floor. Some of the people I trained in those early days are still mentors of mine now.
  • It was during this time that I started to shape my own coaching philosophy. Realising that while technical knowledge matters, what really drives change is trust, communication, and meeting people where they are.

National Age Grade Strength and Conditioning Coach

Nov 2018Jul 2019 · 8 mos

  • Alongside my internship I took on a coaching role with the National Age Grade programme. I was responsible for leading the strength and conditioning for the Women's Under 19s team, helping develop players physically for competition at the international level.
  • I also gained valuable experience touring internationally with the Men's Under 18s and Senior Women's teams, supporting them through tournaments and fixtures abroad.
  • This role gave me hands-on experience working with young and emerging athletes, balancing physical preparation with the demands of competition and travel.

Senior 15’s Strength and Conditioning Intern

Aug 2018Mar 2019 · 7 mos

  • After realising that playing rugby professionally wasn’t going to be my path, I set my sights on staying close to high performance sport through coaching. Interning with the Hong Kong Rugby Union senior men's programme felt like a rite of passage, an opportunity to step into an elite environment and learn from the inside.
  • I sought out the role myself, building relationships to secure the opportunity, and used it to build my foundations in high performance strength and conditioning. It gave me my first real understanding of what it takes to physically prepare athletes at the top level, not just in terms of training loads, but mindset, standards, and professionalism.

  • Alongside my university studies, I volunteered at Newport High School to get ahead of the curve and build real-world coaching experience early. I worked with the Dragons Junior Academy athletes, supporting their athletic development and helping lay the foundations for their progression into senior performance pathways.
  • My focus was on delivering Long Term Athletic Development principles, helping young players improve their physical preparation in a way that matched their growth and competition demands.
