Currently, I am a Professor in the Faculty of Business of Sohar University. I am also an Honorary Associate Professor at the UQ Business School of the University of Queensland Australia, an academic member of International Association of Public Transport (UITP), and life member of All India Management Association (AIMA). I do possess more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in higher-educational multicultural settings, including University of Queensland (Australia), Sohar University (Oman), Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (India). I have been an active researcher and learner and have been regularly involved in academic activities as reviewer, editor, and supervisor. With a research focus on consumer needs and perception analysis, particularly in services marketing, I have published a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. I have won three prestigious research grants worth more than 200,000 USD from the Research Council of Oman (www.trc.gov.om) and two consultancy projects worth more than 150,000 USD from Ejaad (ejaad.om). I have been involved in development of PhD and Masters program curricula and also in the evaluation and administration of higher-educational programs. I was the founder coordinator of Sohar University's Executive MBA Program. Community development activities, organization of conferences and events, and securing business consultancies and sponsorships are some additional accomplishments that I wish to mention with pride in my career history.
