• I left this role early because I was offered a head of engineering role with a 30 million dollar budget to build by my tech team in Dubai.

• Tandem is a fintech startup with an investment of over $160m building a challenger bank fully licensed by the Bank of England.
• I was responsible for several banking products such as Credit Card accounts, Savings accounts (Fixed term and Instant Access), Credit Checks, KYC, Sanctions and PEPs checking and also all of the bank statements and communication that go off to clients.
• In record time, we ultimately migrated the core bank infrastructure from the IBM mainframe to a cloud as a service solution. We also fully rebuilt the bank's mobile app using react native and added total bank account origination in the app with open banking funding.
• I extensively used domain-driven design to create well-defined boundaries to segregate reasons to change, thus reducing the cost of change and diminishing the lead time for new features to be churned out.

• I was able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and was trusted by the company lead feature teams responsible for multi million pound projects. This was a career changing moment and it gave me the confidence for my next role to move to a full on Tech Lead position taking ownership of a financial product with millions of UK customers. Taking personal accountability and responsability of the full balance of a british bank.
• Created an event-driven asynchronous Payment platform using a constellation of microservices based on a domain model. In 12 months the platform has served millions of customers and made over £1 billion pounds in sales which enabled the startup to reach unicorn valuation
• Created a cloud-native platform for a compliance decision engine including the whole continuous delivery pipeline, monitoring and alerting of a high traffic production system

The product was a successful fraud decision engine used by over 100 banks, protecting 250 million cardholders and monitoring over 20 billion card transactions each year.
• Designed a new backend that can be hosted in the cloud for the main product of the company
• Stabilised a legacy application through adding test coverage and continuous delivery practices
• Created a domain model with well defined bounded contexts that helped the team closely align the technical solution with the domain

• The client was the largest private pension fund in Latin America. My mission was to implement a RESTful architecture with Microsoft Web API to serve the Core Domain of the pension fund management application and to do normal MVC Web Development on their bootstrap web application.

• The initial 6-month contract was extended to a year. The client was the largest telecom firm in Latin America. I had the opportunity to work on their main website with the brand new (at the time) ASP.NET MVC 3. Their solutions used Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) heavily and it was exciting to create an end-to-end solution from Web Service -> Queue -> Service -> Database.
