Saurabh jumped into the Education space in 2012 after leaving his cushy American IT job. Since then, he has impacted over 20,000 students, parents, teachers and aspirants across 35+ universities and colleges, 600+ schools, companies and education institutions 35+ countries. As an international youth mentor, he mentors youth for multi-disciplinary projects in sustainability, tech4good, psychology and more for organisations such as Government of India’s Atal Innovation Mission, Huawei CSR, YUNGA Japan, RISE, NIT Jalandhar, Enactus chapters in Delhi University, Jagriti Yatra among others. He regularly writes for the media, hosts 2 podcasts and is a multiple TEDx speaker. For his work in cyber bullying awareness, he was awarded the Jagran Josh Education Award for “Best Initiative for Mental Health Awareness” by the Dainik Jagran group in 2022. He was awarded the Karamveer Chakra Award by iCONNGO and United Nations in 2024. He was also awarded by The Outreach Collective for Innovation in Counselling in 2024 He is an international advocate for Tech4Good having guided over 500 plus UG and PG engineering and design students on all continents. He led the development of a grassroots SDG innovation sharing platform with 12 other members from different countries in 2019 in Japan. He currently leads a group of young volunteers and runs “Open Source Mentorship” where they regularly breakdown massive societal issues to find avenues for tech solutions to be taken up by technologists and youth. A researcher on the various aspects of Education, he is working on a chapter on how ‘Career Guidance can prevent Student Suicides in India’ which should be published in a book with other accomplished researchers from Denmark, India, China and Dr Mark Bray from HKUST. He is the Founder of SN Mentoring, a Career and Education guidance organisation built on expertise, experience and results where passionate mentors bring out the best in you by providing highly customised career development services. Saurabh Nanda’s “Spheres of Understanding” career decision making model is the world’s first comprehensive model on how humans make career decisions and is copyrighted with the Government of India. His career counselling framework “Step Zero” and mentorship framework “Micro-Experiments” are also copyrighted. He has launched 2 AI chat bots for career guidance and mental health assistance.
