Joining as team lead, experienced the journey of setting up a national technology
infrastructure. Played key role in setting up and running various units of project
management, application testing, production support, customer support desk,
compliances, operations and development. Depository being a time and mission critical
system, had to feature high availability and business continuity.
I set up the first internet based application for NSDL in 2001. This application is now
well known as SPEED-e which was developed on, then state of the art Java technologies
on UNIX / Linux / Web Sphere and UDB.
Once in leadership position, I led teams to deliver continuous enhancements, interfacing
with regulators and competition, drove development of SEBI led solution for elecronic contracts.
I played a key role in defining the road map for refactoring and transforming depository
applications from legacy mainframe based technologies to modern java based
technologies.
